Pinecrest is a village of large single-family lots, family estates, and generous outdoor space. Most of our residential work here reflects that footprint: whole-house automation, extensive outdoor audio and lighting, cameras covering wide properties, pool and cabana integration, guest house networks, and the wiring backbone that ties it all together. Our Coral Gables office is a short drive away.
The typical Pinecrest lot is an acre or larger, and many are considerably bigger. That distance changes how the network is designed. Copper Ethernet is limited to about 100 meters (roughly 328 feet) before the signal degrades. On a Pinecrest estate we regularly run fiber between the main house and outbuildings, use outdoor-rated enclosures for network gear at outbuildings, and install pole-mounted access points or dedicated outdoor WiFi units to give real coverage from the front gate to the back of the property. This is why a consumer mesh system does not work here.
Pool areas, tennis courts, and cabanas are where a lot of Pinecrest family life happens. We install marine-rated outdoor audio with independent zone control, weatherproof televisions in cabanas and covered patios, all-weather touch controls, and lighting scenes that transition through the evening. Owners typically want one interface, a phone, a keypad, or a voice command, that controls the pool, the shades, the outdoor audio, and the exterior lighting.
Pinecrest has a tree preservation ordinance and the Village takes it seriously. We coordinate landscape lighting layouts with the landscape architect so uplights, path lights, and specimen tree lighting respect the tree protection zones. Wiring runs are planned to avoid root disturbance. Transformers are placed where the ordinance permits.
A large lot needs a camera plan that covers the driveway, the perimeter, every entry point on the main house, the pool area, outbuildings, and the fence line. We design IP camera systems with the right lens for the distance and framing, we use license-plate-capable cameras at the driveway entry, and we build in cameras with clear low-light performance for the areas that go dark after landscape lighting shuts down. Everything records to a local network video recorder and to a cloud archive.
Many Pinecrest estates have secondary structures. A guest house needs its own reliable Internet, its own audio and video system if you want one, and appropriate camera coverage. We treat guest houses and staff areas as their own micro-projects inside the master plan, with network segmentation (VLAN) so traffic from the guest house does not touch the main house automation network.
Pinecrest homes tend to have the floor space for dedicated theater and listening rooms. When the client wants a real one we build it properly: room acoustics, sightlines, calibrated projection and audio (Kaleidescape, JBL Synthesis, Trinnov, Sony), and the mechanical and electrical isolation the room needs. If the room already exists we can retune and reconfigure it.
Crestron, Control4, and Savant automation. Lutron lighting and shades. Kaleidescape and JBL Synthesis theaters. Sonos, Sonance, and Basalte multi-room audio. IP camera systems and access control. Enterprise-grade networks with fiber backbones and full outdoor coverage. Landscape lighting integration. Standby power tied into the automation.

For new construction and substantial renovation we like to be involved during Basis of Design, before conduit and wiring paths are locked in. On a large lot the wiring backbone is the part you cannot easily redo later, so early planning is worth it. For a finished estate we can retrofit automation, outdoor audio and lighting, cameras, and networking without opening every wall.
