You have a Control4, Crestron, Josh.ai, Lutron, or Savant system that someone else installed, and getting help has become hard. We look at what you have, tell you what it needs, and take over its care from there.
Most of the calls we get about takeovers start with one of these:
Your original integrator closed, moved on, or stopped returning calls.
Something stopped working, and nobody can tell you why.
The network goes down, and there is no easy way to get it back up at night or on a weekend.
You bought a home that came with a system and no documentation.
The wiring was spliced together or never labeled, so every repair is guesswork.
You want a second opinion before replacing equipment that may still be fine.
We stop by for a visual survey, usually less than an hour, to see what is installed and whether we can help. In Coral Gables and nearby neighborhoods, this visit is free.
If we can help, we walk you through our service plan levels and give you a rough estimate of what the work could cost. Every takeover client is on a service plan. A system nobody looks after tends to fail at the worst possible moment.
If you want to move forward, we schedule a paid survey. It takes a few hours and covers power protection, the network, the control system, and every other subsystem in the house.
After the survey, we go over what we found with you and send a proposal for bringing the system up to our standard. That can mean a few small corrections or new equipment.
Once you approve the proposal, we do the work and install a remote monitoring device on your network. It lets us catch problems early, and we can fix many of them without coming out.
We work on most professional systems. The one condition is that you are willing to do what it takes to bring the system up to standard.
If you have Control4, you can switch dealers yourself from the Control4 app, so you are not tied to the company that installed it. With Crestron and other systems, if the original programming files are not available, we read and document what is running and tell you whether to keep it or rewrite it.
We do not take over consumer platforms like Google Home or Apple HomeKit. If you have outgrown one, we can design a professional system to replace it. Our comparison of the leading control platforms is a good place to start.
Let us know which brands are in your home and what is not working, and we will reach out to set up a visit.
